Pink Eye

Yesterday, I discovered I had pink eye. I was driving to school, early in the monring, and my eye started to get itchy. It didn't get bad, iuntil I got to work. While there, my eyes started watering badly, and I got some drainage. I ended up going to ER, as I wanted to drive to school the next moring. I cannot believe I waited 4 houts to get everything settled over there. I gotta say, that's way too long.

Anywho, I did go to school, but wore my sunglasses all day long. I did get cleared withj student health first. Don't wanna start a pink eye epidemic. Which brings me to how did I get pink eye. One choice would be the fact that I just bought new sunglasses. Yeah, I tried 3 or 4 before I picked one. The second, is that I touched something infected, and then my eye. I bet it was the glasses, since that would be the most direct way of getting it.

This past week at school

It's been a fun week. I've learned that I gotta get out of the house really early to go to class. Also, I have learned that stadium parking is the best thing since sliced bread.

This past tuesday, I arrived late for my first class. The backdoor was locked, so I just stood there. Hrmm, the front doors was wide open, so ooops. The professor asked somebody to open the back door, and I got a mass head turning toward me. It was rather interesting I must say. I now have learned that there is always another door.

English is becoming less of a worry. I just gota remember that everything is a learning experience. The other classes are just fine. I've seem to get great teachers all over. No conflic classes, and so for I like their teaching style. Gotta remember to read read, and read a bit more. You read, and listen, you take notes. It isn't hard, but one has to remember all later. It's a commulative experience, that will be tested, literally, later on.

Ohh, my boss asked me to work at the Lenox CompUSA store. It's near the college, but still. I will stay all day long downtown. Ehh, the things I do for my job, right? Hopefully the manager down there will be nice. I bet they will be making me do all this random stupid stuff. I will have to see how it goes. So far, I will work there on tuesdays. It will be something new I guess. As long as I don't have to stock shelves, ans shelftag all day, it will be fine.

Savann-ouch

So, we did go to Savannah. Well, actually, it was tybee island. It's past savannah about 12 miles. The trip and everything, was as fun as can be. There was only one side effect about it all...

I got burned, and look shrimpy right now. I am red all over, bar where my shorts were. I'm glad that area didn't get extra cispy. The inner part of my left leg, and my stomach, endured the worst burnings. Thank goodness for Calimine Cotion *grins*

Most of the visit, was spent either in the ocean, or sunbathing. The water was refreshing, and at the perfect temperature. The jellyfish were being nice, and decided not to sing us all, but once or twice. Lucky us, because it stings like nothing else. Sis and her BF, spent most of the time at the pier, fishing. They saw sharks, and dolphins. Tiny lil baby sharks, and 10ft ones, that were ready for action. Some people actually caugh 2 baby sharks, but had to put it back. Since those are now allowed to be taken.

First day of School

So, today was officially my first day of school. I woke up, got ready, and headed downtown...

Traffic was a bit heavy, and I got a wee bit behind. That was fine and all, but then, I could not find parking. It was terrible. I spent around 30-40 mintes searching. Since it was a braves game that day, I had to park in of the the campus parking lots. I managed to miss my first period class, Psyc 1101. Wednesday, I will have to arrive a litthe early, and talk with the professor. Don't want to start that class on the wrong foot.

As for my other classes, they are fine. Math seems easy enough, although English does worry me a bit. I haven't written a formal essay, since we turned over the millennia, *shiver.* I need a bookbag, and some notebooks badly. I kinda forgot what having them is all about. Although now, I am painfully reminded. Things are darn heavy, and I am going to do more writing then ever before. Talking about that, I spent 238 dollars on three books. I still have to buy 4 more, and am frankly disliking the dents on the wallet.

Gotta say I am overwhelmed, by the shear amount of students. Everywhere I go, there are massive globules of humanity. So many people, all trying to achieve a common goal. That's the way life goes.

I will write more on my college adventures, and misadventures, as time goes.

I'm going to savannah, and I am so happy. We need a mini vaction really bad, so we are getting one. Gotta love trips. YAHOO..

Me go sleep, because we head out early. Yeeehaaaa!

*grins*

Umm, yeah, and that

Yep, it's a current events update...

I start school next monday, and I am excited about it. I got all the money I needed and some spare spending cash. This will be my last week that I will work full time. I am dropping to part time as soon as school starts. Weekeneds, Tuesday, and Thursday will probably be the schedule. I am bound to buy a new car this upcoming week. I am thinking a toyota echo. I don't want it to be white or red. Those colors are just wrong.

Today I wasn't suppose to work, but a coworker got sick. I wanted to enjoy an afternoon of sleeping, and loafing. Heh, at least I got paid, *grins.*

My new motherboard is still in transit from NY. I ordered it from a new company, and am hoping for the best. They have the 2.0 version avaliable, and that is why I chose them. Even though I love Mwave, they still hadn't receiver the new version. I just hope FTI Computer is a company that can be trusted. I should buy a CPU fan from Thermaltake. They have a nice copper one that would just kick some major tail.

Some new people moved in. Sis friend, and her bf, and their dad. We've known them for a long time, and they needed to gather themselves from a high rent house. They are now living in our basement (where the previous people used to live) and are quite content. It's weird how many people have lived with us in the past. Heh, not that I mind, because it's always an interesting experience. Although, it comes with many headaches of it's own each and every time. Ehh, ohh well, that's life right?

SFOGA

So, heh. I went to six flags over georgia today. T'was a bunch of fun. Reina, Sis, mom and I went, and we enjoyed ourselves. We went on a few water rides to start the day. Sis got soaked on the bridge what the water splashes to. Hehe, she didn't run fast enough to avoid it. On the second ride, which is a big round floating thin, all four of us went under the waterfall. Yep, dripping wet from head to toe, with layer bonus. *grins* Yep, everything got wet.

We cooled down on Superman the ride. Sis was hella scared, but after about 5 seconds on the ride, she started smiling. The ride isn't a bit scary. It's target to give one a nice flying sensation. The loop with the reverse G was fun. Since yer hands are raised, they are gravity pinned above your head. That's exactly when the SFOGA people take the pictures. We decided to just bite the bullet and buy one. Mom had the camera, but everything moved so fast.

I brough the camera, and digi-cam over. I barelly used it, and got random shots of random strangers standing in line. I got scolded by sis on doing that. Deal is, there was soooooo much tape left, I thought I would have at least something there.

Ahh, we finished the day over at Macaronigrill. Yummm, and what a perfect finish it was. *grins*

Funny thing was, since we were all short on summer clothing, we got wardrobed over at Old Navy. Yep, we were a walking group advertisement for them. Yes, surrender to the larger power *laughs.* Next week, I will probably be wearing A&F. Umm, no, heh.

Hey, at least I got some new Shorts for the Orientation today. They are drying right now, so I can wear them tomorrow (today in calendar time.)

Till later,

Marc

P.S. - MUST buy hemp necklaces.

More?

Yep yep, I got more to write. This time all is soIid. I got registered for all my classes, I have arrangements to attend school, AND I got a way to pay for it. So I am actually going to school this time around. It took me a hell of a long time to get all of this straightened out, but I did it. I am extremelly proud of myself. Everything is now stable, and my *happy happy* level is filled to the rim. Everything in life is worth the wait.

I took my math placement test, and am going to take College Algebra. Yeah, is not calculus, but then again, I haven't had any math in 3 years. It's easy to forget. I will take algebra now, pre-calc on summer, and should be ready for calc by fall. I might also take english 1102. It will get that stuff out of the way, so I can start getting caught up. I need to start on all the CS classes.

I really really miss learing in an organized enviroment. Constant influx of learning is something I adore. I shall have plenty of that in the upcoming years. Whether I like it or not *grins.* Although, I am sure I am just going to gobble it up. Heh, just like cookie, the house dog, when we leave food unatended.

Tax Free Day-o

So, tax free day at work, was today. The desk was continually busy. Too many credit apps, customer trying to pick up their stuff, all mixed with sales rang through corporate. I can't beleive how many people are all piled up to jusy save 90 freaking dollars. Yeah, 90 dollars is 90 dollars. Umm, but can you justify buying a computer, just so you can get the tax break. That is how some people seemed to be thinking. If one is on a markey for a computer, and can get a 90 dollar break that is fine with me. Backwards, is not.

The fact that they had subs in the break room, makes up for the customer crap. Although, they behaved today. They came in, bought stuff, and left. That's the way it's supposed to be. Although, I gotta say, the sales people where the ones that had to endure all the bable. *grins*

We got new girl at work. She is to be me... REPLACEMENT. Yeah, it's kinda urky that I have to train my replacement. I am still gonna work a lil bit, to make some extra money. She is going to take over my weekly shifts. I am still going to be working on weekends (I think...)

Here's something, I had my mind set on quitting me job. The thing is, that I am going to need a new car to get to the Uni. Yeah, that will incur a new monthly payment on the budget. Sis will take over the current car, by getting a job. I will be getting something small and cheap, that goes vrooooom.

Updates to come soon, and more often,

Marc
