Wonderfully Inadequate

So, I just came back from the pot-luck.

There was plenty of people to meet, and I did my best to try to know everyone. Hunter and Rory played good hosts, and the food itself was very delicious. Not much of my food was eaten, but that just means I have lunch and dinner ready for tomorrow, *smiles.*

I pretty much broke off into a group that consisted of Jeff, Eric and Nick. All nice guys, and very different. It was interesting talking to a fresh group of people. It's nice to be social again. Granted, some of the quips I had fell short of being any good, but it was all good.

It's weird being around so many non-straight people. I did feel kind of inadequate for a bit, and it was weird trying to set into a conversation group. Also, my looks slightly, in a very little bit manner, got to me. I have things to improve, and there were plenty of people there, that looked just great and wonderful. Granted, I didn't look bad myself.

Walking into a group of people that know each other, and have random bits of history together is awkward. I didn't know who knew who, and it was weird seeing the interaction of people. From just talking, to hugging a bit longer than normal.

Granted, I do have to say it's nice to be around non-straight guys. First, there were some good looking, but it's just the general atmosphere that was kewl. Also, they were a laid back bunch, that interacted very well, so I was happy with that.

Hopefully I'll make some friends as time goes, and able to make a difference in some things, and that'll be just fine and dandy for me.

Overall, it was a great experience.
