June 2005 Archives

What are wonderful morning it was, I woke up kinda sleepy, and hit the snooze button. I ended up waking up eventually, took a shower, and got ready for a fresh day.

The unforgettable blue jeep pulled to the door. Shortly after I heard a knock on the door. There was mike holding a bouquet of flowers.

I thought it was quite nice, and it was a new experience for him, and me. He then, had a little light blue bag with him. He ushered me to the kichen, and I had a chance to analyze it. It was a Tiffany & Co. Bag.

Wow, what can it be, it was a weird mix of uncertainty. I'm not much about the jewelry and all. I opened the bag, took the white bow of the box, lifted the lid, and then I saw it...

palomasgroove.jpg

It's called Paloma's Groove. It was designed by Paloma Picasso. I simply loved it. It was simple, clean, and fashionable. I was amazed, and very happy. I gave him a big hug, and thanked him overmuch for it. My cheeks were hurting from grinning so much.

I did go upstair, and thank him properly with a kiss of course.

He then asked me, officially, if I would be his boyfriend. Undoubtedly, I said yes.

He headed out then, to a place that troubled him a bit. We went to Joe's on Juniper. Mike has made a few enemies that frequent the place, from his drinking day. Still, he took me there, and we were both glad we went.

The good was delicious. I had BLT&C, and Mike had a Tanked Chicken Wrap. The fries were seasoned to a point of utter deliciousness, to be repeated another day. Desert was the "Award Winning White Chocolate Mousse Cake." It started not so wonderful, but the flavors got better.

There were also some cute notes to add. One, the waiter said we made a nice wholesome couple. As he put it afterwards "I live in midtown, and you don't see many wholesome couples." We were a cute couple he said, "the Redneck, and the European looking guy." We felt very complimented, and very officially coupled.

Something comically adorable did happen. All this jubilation got Mike excited, after desert, between a sip of coffee, he spurt out "I love you." It took me by surprise for sure. Again, I was hyper grinning, he is soooo sweet. We were holding hands in the restaurant and all. It was quite the perfect place to go. It was kinda empty to, so it was only us in the middle of everything.

After, we stopped by a few places. Eckerds to get some lactaid, Chapter 11* book store, Publix, and Cingular. My sister wanted me to check them out, and I do have to say, I liked the Ericson S710 and the samsung P777. I would just love to be able to take nicer pictures with my phone.

Anywho, afterwards we did some shopping at Lenox. Well, I wanted a nice pair of pants, but didn't quite find anything this time. Maybe another time, I'll find something smashing.

We did stop by, and had ourselves a Godiva Chocolixir. Nice Nice frosty Godiva chocolat drink. I thoroughly the drink. Also, when we did more shopping, I quite enjoyed some ties at Macy's.

We rode him finally. Got to do some snogging and the sort, and got acquainted in a more decent manner.

It was quite a day, and it has made it's mark. Let my just say, WOW.

Ahh, to yesterday, Mike and I got to have dinner at Red Lobster.

He came to work, dropped a cake for my boss, for helping slightly coordinate a long weekend we ended up having (it was more than one person, but only one is easly bribed with chocolate based cakes)

Red lobster was nice, and we had time to eat plenty. Starting with a ceasar salad for him and me. I then had a shrimp alfredo pasta, and he had the stuffed flounder.

The food as usualy was very delicious, and the cheddar bay biscuits were rockin'.

We had a chance to sit down and chat. Again, we are very happy to have each other. I can't wait till Tuesday. Apparently he is planning a surprise. A surprise that seems quite huge, and quite off the ordinary apparently. Well, I kinda think it is at least, hehe, from what he is saying. He is being tight lipped about it, a bit extre per my request. He was already cohorted with his friends on ideas, and has come up with a perfect plan. I will probably bring my camera, since anything could happen.

It was a very nice day, and with each date we have, things just get better and better.

Joy

Today (yesterday in accordance to post time), I realized something.

I realized that a slight bit of paranoia caused me to doubt the status of friendship with Suraj.

The fact that he doesn't care about work (not his job, my job) irked me a bit in the beggining, but I quickly realized that it's no longer his duty. He doesn't really care if a cashier is late, can't come in at all, or other little events, that are a big deal to me. He is still watchfull of things. I had work interfere with my perception of things with him.

Also, there was the fact that one of his long time friends works there now. He chats with him plenty, and is always out and doing things with him. I often sit in the fringe of things, and am not usually involved in the things that his tigher/longer known group of friends are.

I finally had a chance to chat today. Granted, the word that I seemed to consider him mostly work friend (for reasons above) went to him, since I did rather complain rather loudly.

Suraj is a good friend, and people have friends in various levels. I've know him for some time now, and believe him to be a good guy, that is worth keeping in touch with. I let his distancing from work, give to paranoia about friendships.

Ok, let's start, by saying, this entry contains sap.

Today was a nice day, that expanded my horizons a bit.

Mike picked me up this morning, and we went to have breakfast at a Brazilian bakery named Pão De Mel. He had the first paste of a Pastel. I'll just suffice to say it's fried, flaky, and stuffed with things like cheesy, ground beef, or heart of palms with chicken. He liked it a lot. He was surprised after all how cheap the whole thing was. Hehe, it's good food, and doesn't kill the wallet, it was funny.

We then went home, and watched "Beautiful Thing." It was a nice movie, and was very interesting. I have to say I liked it, and would recommend people watch it.

After the movie, we just dilly dallied a little, and made out. As I mentioned we were taking things slow, and we hit one of my weirdly emontional points. Very personal thing about being emotional, and progressing things into a more physical arena. He was there, we talked a lot, and things still went well.

We have realized that out affection towards each other is quite large, and it keeps growin, we are very open about it, and we are progressing wonderfully. Mike is wonderful, beautiful, and very lovely indeed. We have many things in common, but still not going to take things too far without being positive that's the way we want to go. He makes me happy, and I'm extremelly happy he has come into my life. He's helping me overcome hurdles, and break down walls that I have put around myself. He accepts me for all that I am, and loves that I'm always me, without compromising. It's awesome.

So, Saturday AND Sunday, I spent it with Mike.

He's being quite wonderful in plenty of occasions.

Saturday started with a visit to Lenox Mall. It was interesting seeing plenty of overly expensive, yet highly great looking things.

We then headed to Maggiano's Little Italy. Nice restaurant, no wait time (well, we were rather early) We both had the chicken Parmesan, with a side of Fettucini Alfredo. The serving size was tremendoes, the chicken was well prepared, and the Alfredo sauce was marvelous. (Well, I did decline the brocolli on the alfredo, but it was marvelous regardless)

We travalled a bit around town, then went to the Sun Dial. It was beautiful looking at the town from roughly 73 floors above ground. The restaurange, and the lounge part of the tower rotated slowly so one would get the full view of atlanta, and parts beyond. We mainly spent time in the observatorium, and then sat in the lounge area a bit. That is until the hostess "politelly" kicked us out, because we didn't plan on buying drinks or anything to eat. I had a few select words I would love to have used with her, but it would have ruined the otherwise beautiful experience I had so far.

I do say, that Mike has been simply the best in every moment I spend with him. Very awsome.

We then hunted for a movie to watch later at night. The movie is called "Beautiful Thing" It's a gay love story. We planned on watching it when we got home, but that's another story. (I forgot the place where I went to get the movie, bleah, shall remember later)

We spent some time just driving around the town, and having fun with traffic. We were just killing time until we had to eat again, hehe. So, we went to Cow Tippers. Oy, t'was odd, since beither of us were really hungry. I just ended up getting a salad. It was off, because one big reason we went therewas because of the desert, but we ended up not very hungry.

So, we drove home then, were very ready to watch the movie. I went to the restroom, and them, bzzp. The power went out. Darn, we could not watch the movies. Well, we still went downstairs. We did not need the movie, we just chatted, snuggled, and made out. Oy, t'was fun, later the light eventually came on, but by then it was too late to watch the movie.

I bid him goodbye, and went to sleep. Well, I ended up watching some law and order with mum, since I was waiting for him to call when he got home, because he was so sleepy, and I wanted to make sure he was safe.

Ahh, yes. I finally get to update with the date that happened on Saturday. (a.k.a. date #3)

This date had it's downs, and it's ups. That is for sure.

He came to pick me up after I got home from work. His blue jeep parked in front of my house, and I happily jumped my way to his car.

We first went to 37 Main. It's a nice restaurant, it's dark, soultry, with interesting dish presentations. Albeit, the food was in small portions it was delicious. I had a friend chicken with southern potato salad, and Mike had shrimp and grits. Again, small dishes, and mine was a tad spicier than I would like.

The highlight of this restaurant was the desserts. I had a delicious chocolate mousse that made me want to lick the plate. Mike had a berry soup. It consits mainly of a chilled multi-berry puree, garnished with blueberries and raspberries, all with a dollop of vanilla ice cream in the center. All very much delicious.

We left the restaurant, and ended up driving to a park. First, I ended up having to do a long walk to a restroom, that was in the middle of nowhere. Later we walked along a path, with very many bugs, rought ground, and spider webs all over the place. Not to mention that it was super hot, and we were sweating like crazy. It's in the middle of this, umm, place, that we had our first attempted kiss. Yeah, not what we pictured. Mike sincerelly apologized as we tried to go back to the main park. We just zig-zagged out, while things were bumping into us, and attempting to bite us.

When I got home, i invited Mike in. He met mom, and later met my sister. Downstairs, we got to cuddle a bit, and had an opportunity to redo the kiss. This time it was much much better. Although, I do have to say he left a hickie on my neck.

Oy, I tried covering with makeup, since I did have to work the next day. Turns out I don't know much about make up, and I did a poor job at hiding anything. For the next 3 days, every single person noticed, and commented on my hickie profoundly.

I think a total of 25 or so people made a remark. I was damn proud of my hickie, and was highly amused at how much attention it got, and what was said about. I was informed that I should keep them more private, since those are the fun ones to get. Yeah, I work with a group of "interesting" people. *laughs*

Yes, quite an unforgettable sequence of events.
