Unraveling

Many events, few blog entries.

###

Let's start with back in North Carolina.

The Unity converefence was great. Learned a fair amount of things, and came home with some great ideas on my head. Met a lot of people, and had a chance to see some of the people I already knew in a new light.

Club night was quite awesome. I danced, like never before, with some great awesome people. I wore this shirt, that I got from a friend, and it was quite awesome. Also, wore my now beloved 3 button jeans.

Experienced a bit of the UNC Chappel Hill Campus life, and also travelled in the surrounding area. I ended up more than once at Quizno's in the downtowney area. They are open till 3. It was all one long odd night of driving people back and forth from that area. Also it ended up where we had a fair amount of our means. Nice, accessible, and some wonderfully cheap parking. No nowhere as pricey as the downtown Atlanta gauging.

The drive was fun and interesting. The drive there was nice, with Joey, Yoshimi, and Jeremy. We listened to music, and watch me go a little psycho. It's never a good idea to almost make me crash. Anywho, aside from that one little incident, it was nice. We made a lot of stops, and took pictures when entering SC and NC. Also some other random stops. Gotta say, some people just don't know how to lead cars. That's all I'll say.

The drive back, was long, but it was fun. I drove back with Joey only. That was fun, and I learned a lot of things, and he, did also. Granted, I did talk overmuch. Still, it was fun getting lost, and trying to find places in the middle of nowhere. I tryied getting postcards to bring back, but it was damn hard to. Well, I ended up not finding, but there were many sidetrips on our way to find them, which is why we took long. Granted, they were all very much fun.

Overall, very awesome.

As you know, I did get wonderful grades at school. The only annoying part, is that at times, I was working on stuff non-stop. Coding this, finalizing that, and juggling a large amount of projects. This semester was very project intensive, so it was very interesting. The main thing that I studied for was Physics II. Everything else was project after project. As always, I did take on a lot of resposabilities, but everything worked out well on the end. It helps to have good teams as support.

The job search has been sheer hell. I can schematically do all the things I need to. The biggest problem is Me. I had a bit of a freeze on my search for a job. For a bit, I was just unable to move forward on trying to find one. All my leads sitting on a desk, and no phone calls being made. I've since then have caught up, and I'm actually searching now. Still a bit slow, but it's all good.

When the money is low, tensions run high in the house. It happens every single time there is a financial strain. Bills start to get skipped, and things start to get shut off. People start getting antsy, and start getting on each others nervers. Everyone in the house is starting to be guilty of this. Sis, is as expected ragging on me. Mom is well, being mom. Me, I'm just trying to not stress about it. But since I'm the cause of the situation, it sure doesn't help any.

New People

So, a friend came to visit all the way from Pennsylvania. Not to visit me, but to attend an open call for some airline thing. I hanged out with him, and took him to a brazilian restaurant. He quite liked it, and not long ago, messaged me saying he was craving some brazilian food. Heh, I thought that was nice.

Anywho, nice guy, I wish him the best of luck on whatever he is planning next. He didn't get the job here, so now he is back home. I think he's gonna go work for Wal-Mart for now.

###

There was another LAN party over at Brett's house. As always it was fun. This time instead of playing Halo Halo, we played Starcraft. Heh, I know old game, but it was great fun regardless. Took a bit to get used to, but it was nice, since everyone was on the same skill level.

As typical, everyone in there, is or was a CompUSA employee. One would think this would stop by now, but it has caught on. Well, as always, I enjoyed it. There was plenty of screaming at each other, and cussing, which is good. This time, we didn't do Pizza. We did burgers and hot dogs. Much more food to go around, and on a much smaller budget. Someone still bought a pizza at the end, but that's because they are stubborn *grins.*

I was too sleepy to drive home, and spent the night over. Granted, by the time I left all the cat hair had made my eyes ultra scratchy. Still, wasn't that bad.

Ahh, I almost forgot. I also went to one of my Ex-Bosses wedding. The wedding was beautiful. I caught up with a lot of people that I haven't seen for a long time. After the wedding, we went to a reception hall, which I never knew was there. I have passed by it many times on my way to work, and never caught a glimpse of it. Regardless, the food was great, there were a lot of toasting, and dances that were silly.

I am very happy for Ezi and Becky. They've known each other for a long time. I do mean a long time. It was always a running joke that they would never get married. Still, they somehow magically managed to do so. So good for them. *grins*

So, a lot and a little has gone on, on the past month or two. Mostly good, but with some not so good in between. Have had a chance to catch up with a lot of people, so that's been fun.

Hopefully things will only go uphill from here.

(Not a very PG-13 entry per se)

So I figured out another way to cause some motivation for me to get a job.

Again, in the form of a catchy slogan! "No JO until JOB"

Tada, there you go. I know I am going to hate myself for it, without a doubt, like the last time I did something similar, but still, it sure adds some fire to my desire to search with more fervor.

We shall see how it goes.

That's all.

Fearr

Fearr, not Fear. Fearr, irish gaelic for better.

In life, there are no arrows that show which direction is better than the other.

There are multiple paths that end up in wonderful places, and the same is true otherwise.

Right now, I am at a loss of which way to go. Instead of acting, I stand at a stalemate of life. Not progressing in any direction. Simply drifting timewise wondering what to do, and then not doing it.

I suppose I am a bit afraid of the unknown. Also afraid of moving away from a safe zone. The bad part, is there is no "safe" zone at the moment. Just a slowly crumbling platform. One, that I need to move from quickly, before I go down with it.

Also, the stagnant knowledge, that I can do so much better than I am doing now, that pisses me off to an extreme. There are numbers to be called, people to visit, forms to fill out, and appointments to be set. If I was only learning something about my field, or studying, I would have a mild excuse to delay those, but that's not the case.

There's noone to say, get up, do stuff. I have to rely on myself for that. Granted, if people did that, I would probably just be annoyed, and slightly pissy. Still, it's something that I need to get arranged.

Why isn't a "rent-a-motivator" service avaliable?

*grins*

Hello there,

Haven't written in a long time, because frankly, I'm in a bleah mood.

Still, things have been going well, but one key thing just made my day today.

I logged on into GSU's website, to find out my grades. They officially come out tomorrow, but they've always been known to have them on the website a bit earlier.

So, yes, I got 5 As. I was very happy. Since this brings my GPA back up to a more friendly number. Hopefully it will allow me to graduate with honors.

Still, I am very happy indeed.

So, today is my birthday. Yeay!!!

I will be going to sleep soon, but here are my plans for today..

I plan to have breakfast at IHOP with mom and sis about 8am.
I don't have lunch plans yet.
Dinner will be @ Red Lobster around 8PM (I think)
It will be mainly family, since my grandma will be there, and most of the people that know her, do not want to ever cross her path. Nor would I invite any of my friends to meet her.

Then, apparently, I am going to club La Rumba, after that.
La Rumba - 6317 Roswell Rd. Sandy Springs 404.303.1814

Should be interesting.
