I just got back from the Alliance meeting, and we had the voting today.

It suffices to say, that I lost, by one vote, which is just fine with me. Granted, lots of the votes were already cast even before they were written on paper. Aside from maybe like one or two people, everyone had already sides, since they knew/preffered one candidate or another even before anything was said.

I still like the Alliance, and do plan on being active and cooperative. It will be from a more passive point of course, and I'm pretty darn sure I won't get to see the officers action plans and meetings. Still it's all good. I'm a little bummed of course, but there is nothing I can do about it.

If I didn't win, it's because it was not meant to me. Maybe this means I should focus some more on my personal projects, which is a good thing. We shall see how things go, I'm happy whichever way the wind blows.

Yes, most of my semester will be spent on campus, so what better way than to get semi-stuck downtown.

it's a Brave's game, so traffic is hell. I'm waiting for things to cool down at bit before I drive out, since I just don't want to sit in traffic. Still, I've been on campus since about 5:30am. Usually I have problems finding parking because everything is full, but for parking a full day, I worried some about the fact taht a lot of parking places were not open at all. I wanted to park yet I could not. Odd...

Also, I took the train back home, and realized that 2 stations down, I PARKED downtown, and was just going to the traing out of habit.

Now for my little time tale. So, I knew I needed to be at school by 6:00, so I set my clock up to wake me at 4:50. All good so far, then I remember that I was going to take MARTA (Train) and that takes 1:10 to get to. So, about 2-3 minutes after I woke up, it hit me. I should have woken up at 4:00, not around 5:00. So, I rush like hell, take as brief a shower as possible, and run to get dressed and driving. I got to school in time to get a locker, granted, I wasn't anywhere near the front of the line. It was more like, end of the line. I still got the locker, so I was happy.

So, today was a day of being dased and confused.

Wow, it's a new semester, and there's lots going on.

I've not my classical locker at the gym. I got all my classes in order, books bought, notebooks arranged, schedules printed. All nice and wonderful. Granted, I few things are different.

One is that I now work at the Computer Lab at school. The job pays $6.50, but considering I don't pay any taxes, the effective rate is much higher.

Also, for the first time, I am running for office of a group at school. Frankly, I've been going back and forth on seeing if I want to participate, and be active. I figure that my ideas might benefit the group, and the feedback, and view of everything will help fuel my own ideas. This should be interesting to see.

There is also the wonderful fact that i am graduating this sememster. It means I have to decide what to do with my degree, and what I should persue next. Again, it's a hard decision to make, since it can take a large chunck of time to persue a higher degree, and it means that I will spend more time outside the workforce related to my field. Higher education vs. more experience, is a tough choice to make.

Ohh, and I met a friend of mine from the online world. Well, not a dating site, or through a friend, and I started talking online. No, he just happened to go to an IRC room I am often, and this semester, he is going to my school. So naturally, I got a chance to meet him. He seems like a very nice guy, and has lots of energy. Granted, I have a feeling he might migrate towards his own clique, and that will be that. I don't know what's going to happen, but it was nice to meet him.

Still, many more things around this semester, but they will probably get their own complete write up. I'm very excited about this semester, and all that's going on in my life.
