So I applied for a pretty interesting program a few days ago. Today, I have received a letter informing me that I do not meet their criteria for the program.

Again, I should expect a few e-mails like that. Each company has their own criteria for selecting potential applicants, and as much as I wish, I probably can not meet every single one.

That is why the call it job searching, and not simply job finding, because a large portion of it, is searching, trying, and then searching some more. Still, I think I should get something soon. *crosses fingers*

Come Again?

I have started to get a few more e-mails from potential employers. Things are fine and dandy overall, but I keep seeing one distinct pattern.

A large amount of the e-mails have a interesting sentence combination. It goes something like this. "Hello, we've found your resume on 'career websiste', and we have some positions you might be interesting in. Send us a copy of your resume if you are interested"

Now, I understand it's probably for procedural reasons. As you can see, they saw my resume, and if I am interested in the job, I need to send the a copy of my resume. If I end up getting a interview with one of the companies that did that, I will ask them. Granted, they will probably think I am a smartass for questioning such things. Maybe after I am hired?

Ahh, the joys of job hunting.
